Limited Deptl Competitive Examination for Promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts
Postal Directorate, vide its notification dated 05.09.2016, has announced the schedule for conducting the LDCE for promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts(66.6%) DP quota for the vacancy year 2015-16. The Examination will be held cadre for the vacancies for the period 01.01.2015 to 31.03.2016 i.e. for the year 2015-16 in-house on the old pattern using OMR method for evaluation.
The Schedule of the examination is given below.
5 th October, 2016 (Saturday) Paper-l l0:00 a.m. to 01 :00 p.m.
5 th October. 20l6 (Saturday) Paper-lI 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m.
6 th October. 20l6 ( Sunday ) Paper-lll l0:00 a.m. to 0l :00 p.m.
6 th October'. 20l6 ( Sunday) Paper-lV 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m
Age limit for appealing in the LDCE is 'not exceeding 40 years'. Relaxation by 5 years is given for Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribe officials. Minimum service required is 5 years of regular service. The crucial date for this examination has been fixed as 1 st July,2015 for age and service eligibility condition.
No. of chances:
(i) As per the RRs, 2013, a candidate shall be allowed, a maximum of 4 chances.Candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes may subject to his eligibility be allowed a maximum of 6 chances to appear in the said Examination.
Venues for conducting the Examination:
The Examination will be conducted at all Circle Headquarters only. For newly created Telangana Circle, the Centre will be 'Hyderabad' and for Andhra Pradesh Circle, it will be 'Vijayawada'.

Directorate has called for all the requisite information, viz.duly filled in Annexures (Annexure I to VI) along with photo copies of APARs/ACRs OF 225 Senior ASPs vide Directorate Letter No.9-14/2016-SPG dated 01-09-2016 to consider their cases for promotion to the cadre of PS Group B.The following 12 ASPs of AP Circle figured in the list. The above information along APARs/ACRs is to be submitted by AP circle by 23 rd September,2016.
