Sub: Disbursement of Salary to Staff in Cash. Reg
Sir,
Due to monetization Scheme, there is huge rush in the Banks and Post Offices and the Cap of Rs.24000/- for withdrawal from the S.B. Account has been imposed by the Government of India. It will create more problems to the staff to withdraw the amount of salary from the SB Accounts from Banks and Post Offices and it will adversely affect the work also because everyone will have to stand in long ques to withdraw the amount.
Keeping in view the above facts, it is requested to kindly cause orders to disburse the salary of the staff in cash for the month of November,2016.
Hoping for a positive action.
With regards, Yours Sincerely,
(R.N. Parashar)
Secretary General
Supreme Court refuses to stay ban on Rs 500, Rs 1000 notes
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to stay the Modi government's notification demonetizing Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes+ but asked the Centre to file an affidavit giving details of steps taken to ease inconvenience faced by citizens+ due to long queues at banks and ATMs.
"We will not be granting any stay," a bench comprising Chief Justice T S Thakur and D Y Chandrachud said hearing a batch of pleas against demonetization. The remarks were made after some advocates insisted on a stay.
Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for one of the petitioners, however, said he was not asking for a stay on the notification but seeking answers from the government about the steps taken to remove public inconvenience.
The bench asked Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi to file an affidavit about the measures already undertaken by the government and the RBI to minimise public inconvenience and also the steps likely to be undertaken in future.
Without issuing any notice to the Centre or the RBI, the bench posted the matter for further hearing on November 25.
Attorney general Mukul Rohatgi said the government estimates black money size to be Rs 15-16 lakh crore and it expects people to deposit Rs 10-11 lakh crore in banks. "Rest Rs 4-5 lakh crore were being used in northeast and J&K to fuel trouble in India. That will be neutralised," he said.
Rohatgi said the real purpose of the Centre is to force those who have hoarded cash at home to deposit in bank and explain the source of money.
The Prime Minister, in a televised address to the nation, had declared that high denomination notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will no longer be legal tender from November 8-9 midnight. He had said the government has declared a "decisive war" against black money and corruption.

Super Idea By Government To Control Long Queues Outside Post Offices and Banks For Exchange Of 500 and 1000 Notes
There are long lines outside banks and ATMs in order to exchange old notes. However, the crowd is uncontrollable at some places, because people are repeatedly standing in queues in order to get more notes exchanged.
However, the government has found an option to this. Now, the banks will put an indelible ink mark on the fingers of people, after they have exchanged their notes. Yes, this is basically for preventing repeated conversions!
This move has been announced mainly for controlling the large crowds outside bank branches. It is taking almost 4 to 5 hours for people to get their cash exchanged.
This move was announced today morning by Shaktikanta Das, the Secretary of Economic Affairs. He further said explained that the government took this decision, because there were many people who tried converting black money to white money smartly, by making multiple visits to the banks.
He said
“The reason for long queues at banks and ATMs is that the same people keep coming again and again at different places. We have received reports that many people are trying to convert black money into white and they have organised groups of people and are sending them to exchange money.”
Further, Das added “To solve this problem, we have decided to use indelible ink marks, similar to elections, at cash counters… This will start today in major cities,”
Moreover, he also requested people to not believe any rumors on social media. Let us see if this decision helps to control the crowd at the bank.
